After my promotion games in solo queue this season I got promoted to Platinum V from Gold V last season, but I soon lost interest since I found it difficult to climb. Whenever I won I would soon lose two more and get back to 0 LP, and eventually I got demoted to Gold V due to inactivity. I'm currently up to my promotion games again for Platinum and I have won 2/5 so far and lost none.

My problem though is that since I found Platinum to be difficult for me I don't really know if I'm ready for getting back there again. Do you think I should go for it and see what happens?
I feel a bit like I'm getting carried a bit too much and I'm not improving in the same pace as my LP increase.

Congrats on the imminent promotion! I think you should do it. You won't climb a heck of a lot when you get promoted, but i mean, you'll be able to improve your game, up to the point where you are playing on par with other plat players, and then you can probably see yourself winning more games than you're losing
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

Thanks. yeah, it feels like the most logical thing to do. It is just really frustrating when you actually win a game or two and feel like you're on a roll and then get stomped back to 0 LP, but I guess that when I actually start to improve I will get my motivation back.

Ofcourse you should. Even if you may feel you're not at that level yet, playing with those players consistently will get you to that level as you pick up on things. It may feel a bit rough at the start but if you play with the right mindset and improve you'll feel just as comfortable there as you feel now when you're playing in gold.

Agreed! Forge on! As it is the only way to get better, is to play against people that are better than us!:D
You can do it!
