I am not much a league player so I do not have any champions unlocked. However, I am participating in a 3v3 SR tournament and don't want to rely on the free champs week to week. I have a lot of experience in Dota so MOBAs are not new to me. What champs do you think I should get to kind of last th tournament?

Honestly this is my opinion but it all comes down to playstyle. Personally i love high mobility and tankiness but that can also do some damage if need be. So i lean more towards Singed and Trundle as an exemple. But that is my playstyle. Discover your playstyle and you'll find which ones to unlock.:)

my 2 cents

1) What do you enjoy playing?

2) Which champion captivates you?

3) Look for skill sets you find interesting. (same as 2)

4) Follow your instincts.

As everyone said, it's all about your playstyle. List your DotA favorites here, and we'll all try to make some connections.

Well, you didn't give out much information for us to help X3

For example, describe the champ that you like to play will certainly help us to help you :3

such as:
I like to play Garen top because it's easy to learn and its playstyle can apply to almost every champs I've faced.

I like to play Sivir because of the indirect harrass from W -- I don't need to get into range to harrass someone. I also like how she can clear minion waves very quick, which helps me to catch up if I somehow fallen behind.

The above two are the examples that helps us to give you suggestion on champs :3

Also you might check out the 4.4 tier list in general discussion. Find the cheap champs near the top of the list and you can really stretch your rp/ip.

If you are very new to the game and are limited to how IP you have to spend, i would suggest going for champs like: Yi - Great for starting to learn the basics of jungling. Garen - Solid top laner that is quite easy to play and can be built into tank or ad. Sivir - Good start to learning how to last hit and basics on how to adc. Annie - Great mid laner, good utility from stun and lets you learn the basics of burst champs.

Hope this helped :D
Mid Assasins Will always be MVP!
