Before this patch default page was ether 3 life steal quints or 2 then all standard stuff all pages used flat armor and mr. You basically just use your adc page.
I would agree with you guys hp regen quints are now best on tank top laners. My trundle will prob now be flat ad red, armor yellow, scaling mr, hp regen quints and now instead of dorans blade i start with shield again since its not as good any more without life steal quints.
Can't say anything else than Cooper is somewhat right. ArPen does work on Trundle, benefits you more in late-game, but flat AD runes will probably give you an easier lane phase, and you're might able to trade with champions as Shyvana.
And to Cooper, I will continue running Doran's Blade, because with
Feast
and Frozen Domain will serve you great sustain, so I don't necessarily think Doran's Shield is ALWAYS a better start. Might be in some matchups.I think my standard rune pages would look like;

They're still prevalent, and I for one still use them, it's just that early game sustain is harder to accomplish than before.

I didnt see the point of nerfing the Life steal Quints really, yes it was 6% but that rarely made any impact until level 15-18 and even then it was so pathetic it wouldnt matter and now they reduced it to 4.5% i feel its just over no use...Id rather have extra AD and buy a bloodthrister instead.

Of course leauge is early focused game i always go for early power vs late game.
Masteries i always do same thing personally i always go for regen and stuff that helps early instead of late game stuff like reinforced armor. I find the regen and other stuff helps you win lane and there giving you more armor and stats in long wrong vs the guy who opted for late game.
