Ive been using this build since 2013 and its made me love voli bear with a passion. whther ive had good games or bad games. im just in touch with the guy. thatnks for this awesome build. i really hope you update it soon

I love the tank one. It's great how you can manage against heavy early-gamers such as Renekton and still be able to throw an enemy into a forced 1v5 on late game to harass on teamfights. You can easily take down turrets targeting you once you have a decent amount of items, which could be just three items plus boots, depending on how the match develops. Although it's hard to dive early-game, late game turret dives are supper effective as turret shots don't damage you as much as enemy champions do; so you can ignore the turret while going berserk over that one f*cking Teemo. Speaking of dives, if someone tries to dive you, you can just pull your barrier and do a Q on them so turrets have more time to be effective. ALL OF THE POSSIBILITIES!

Literally just made an account to say that I bought Voli yesterday. Tried this build just now piss drunk and went 18/3. Like... blurry screen drunk.

I definitly suggest this guide to everyone wanting to play volibear. I had played him a few times before without much succes but then i decided to try him again and stumbled upon this guide. It's been a half year since then and right now he is my main toplaner who carried me out of silver.
One thing i would like to add though is that i don't think zephyr works too well in the late game.
Don't get me wrong, the item is awesome in early game and buying it almost guarantees that you win your laning phase so i would definitly recommend it to new volibear players because since zephyr makes your laning phase so much easier, it makes it easier to learn the champ.
However in the lategame i just don't feel like there is that much use to it anymore. Recently i transitioned into botrk after someone else suggested it and although botrk has less immediate impact and doesn't do as much for winning your lane i feel way better in the late game with that item.

Very nice guide, you need to go through it again and sort out some of the inconsistencys with S4 though such as the changes to Phage.
