Really good guide and you're one of the reasons that I've gotten better at Shaco, but there are still things you could improve.

First of wall of texts exhausts the reader causing them to often skip important parts of guides.

Secondly, I noticed you havent updated the guide after Ryze's changes and thus Arcane Mastery is displayed as Arcane Mastery, the syntax is now
Code:
[[Arcane mastery mastery]]

And lastly, you state in the guide that [[Black cleaver got nerfed and isn't good anymore, but it recently got buffed again and I find it extremely useful for split pushing and it also shreds armor nicely against tanks.

And you should probably mention Enchantment: Runeglaive and Ionian Boots of Lucidity as they work pretty well on Shaco if you take AP masteries such as Mental Force and Arcane Mastery .

If you disagree to anything I said I'd love to know why. I'm allways looking to get better at the game and the champion. :)

@Glorfindelas You are right keep up in leveling is hard as shaco since you have not the same fast and sustained jungle clear as other junglers. There are different options to keep up your experience level:
1) Gank successfully
2) Clear jungle camps
3) Take lane CS/Experience (if teammate is recalling and lane pushes against tower hold the lane)
4) After ganking help to push out the lane
5) Push out the lane if solo lanes duelled each other etc-
6) Buy Ranger's Trailblazer for early game and abuse the superior jungle clear and sustain
7) Don't gank when you are behind in levels compared to enemy jungler (risk of countergank)

These are some tips to keep up your xp level. Don't hesitate to ask further questions! Checkout my youtube channel for gameplay videos https://www.youtube.com/user/wikiproLoL

Hey there Wiki. Once again thank you for the guide. I've been reading other guides as well and most favor AP shaco over AD. I personally prefer AD gameplay but have found myself trailing behind early level specially after 5.4. My teammates are lvl 6-7 & im still at 4 with only 1K gold and after clearing 3-4 buffs. What do you recommend for most effective gold gathering? I'd really like Shaco to level up faster.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

@epiknnoob It's pretty hard nowadays to proc the passive without your boxes. Usually you need to place jitb and attack the monster from behind when it focus your box.

Grump smite does not work as good as golem, since the key to success is the stun effect, which is superior to damage reflection in my opinion.

Hope I could help you with my answers!

I do have a couple of question for you.

1) I watched some of your vids and read this great guide. you talk about moving to the back of jungle camps so shaco's passive can go off. I noticed you have no issue but when I do it the target just turns with me...... am i missing something.

2) Also smiting the golem over the wall and going straight for red is a way slick move. Have you tried doing the same with cromp (sp? you know the big frog) and going for blue if you start on red team? that way you can finish your clear and go for mid or top?

thanks again.

@ epiknnoob. You hit the point. My intention is to share knowledge with you guys and help new shaco players to have a good start. Nice to hear that your start was succesful, but be aware to master shaco you need a lot experience that means a lot of games to learn all matchups strenghts and weaknesses and know your limits.

As a mid lane/ top lane player I have recently found my true love. That Would be the jungle. I have gone on a jungle only spree here the last three months. I have tried a lot of other jungle champs. I kept thinking shaco would be fun to try but always bought another jungle champ. I now have about 14 or so jungle champs that I was playing with trying to see what fit my play style and most importantly who is just fun to play. I came across you guide yesterday and said what the heck I will try this shaco guy out with your advice. Hell if i didnt like shaco I could always get a refund on my RP. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your advice and experience with shaco. I played 2 games last night and had a blast! Just like you said he is fun but can be a pain to get ahold of. But armed with the knowledge you shared I was able to walk away with 2 wins and played some of the funnest games i have played in awhile. Thank you

@Hiota there is no need to buy either warrior or devourer. I usually buy rangers trailblazer and switch to stalkers blade when I finished ravenous hydra. But I never upgrade these machete upgrades, since I want to focus on my core itemization which is pretty expensive already. You will never farm enough as shaco to make devourer worth. Shaco's midgame benefits more from hydra than warrior stats.

After the patch, would Devourer or Warrior be better on Shaco? Would Devourer be for farming and warrior be for ganks?

@vektor24 I did it! I have read your monster message ^^ Well let me give you a serious answer:

You argue that those machete upgrades who make opponents smiteable are more beneficial for shaco due to his duelling potential. I 100 % agree with you, I would like to use either Stalker or Skirmisher on Shaco. That would be great. Unfortunately Shaco does need his smite 100 % in early game to be able to clear the jungle and take advantage of the smite buffs.

That's the main reason why anything but Ranger does not seem to be viable on Shaco right now. Additionally Ranger decreases your Smite CD from 60 -> 45. Taking 10 % CDR for summoners from Utility tree melts your smite CD to 41 seconds. My Tactic is to only clear jungle with smite in early game and meanwhile gank whole map or counterjungle.

So I would never be able to take advantage of the additional smite dmg from other upgrades since I need smite for jungle camps in early game. Furthermore I never upgrade the jungle item so it would not help later on in the game, since I sell it for core items. As demonstrated there is no place for anything but ranger right now.
