In terms of dueling with an enemy, if they have a cc ability that is decently easy to see coming (provided it doesn't displace you), for example a nocturne fear or an annie stun, you can start to use your Q just before you get cc'd, allowing you to basically mitigate that cc, as you'll already be flying through the air. this can allow you to either escape easily, or discount your opponents' cc with your own, meaning they can't follow up on it because they'll be knocked up.

What if i face a top Mordekaiser? i played top Mordekaiser quite some time now, and i noticed he has the potential to outplay a nasus given the fact his Shield can suck up that one Q nasus always uses when trading blows

saw your guide and decided that aatrox would looked like my kind of play style, been murdering top lane this morning! great guide... one thing though I HATE TEEMO! only won 1/2 matches against him... if laning against him if 5/10 id hate to lane against renekt :)

Well, Vladimir doesn't have too much burst or any hard CC, but his sustained damage will make Aatrox's laning impossible if you don't play aggressive, just as you would against a Teemo.
Still, Vlad has the advantage there because of being ranged and beefy. Ignite is a must of course.

great guide but as an aatrox main and the quality of your guide , you should definitely add guisoo gunblade as a possibility for aatrox

Thanks for the feedback. I understand why Hydra is bad against Renek and Panth, but I fail to see exactly how BotrK is supposed to help that much against those lanes.

You should probably mention that the matchups against Renekton and Pantheon are not nearly as bad if you rush Blade of the Ruined King. If you rush Ravenous Hydra against them you are going to get murdered due to their sheer early game pressure.

Why don't you take double edged sword in your mastereis? It's really good for Melee champs
