Whilst not everyone will embrace this solution, it seems that already many players are using it to improve their own play and their team's coordination, as well as knowledge of the game generally. For these players I'd like to announce that our coders over at Gamereplays have managed to parse the replay files from LoL Replay. That is to say, take the key information out of them and integrate it into our replay system interface. You can check it out here:
www.gamereplays.org/leagueoflegends/replays
This system will give you information about the map, the summoners (players identities) on each side and the champions they were playing (make sure to mouse over the champion icons) and also give you the option to download replays. When you click on a replay you can gain more information about it from the uploading member, and you can comment on them or "wub" them to bump them into "popular replays". To upload your own replay files simply join up, and use the upload tab in the replay system (you will see it once you are a member), however you don't need to be a member to download and watch other replay files.
Should any top ELO players wish to upload replays, we have built functionality into the interface to separate "Expert Replays" from regular "Members replays", please contact me over at GR, if you wish to take advantage of this.
We aim to support players who use this unofficial LoL Replay function, until such a time as an official, Riot made, replay system takes its place, which we will duly make a new system interface for.
N.B Replay files are generated by the LoL Replay app, and are also viewed using that same application.
