Today I went Veigar support because of a stubborn auto-locking Akali. I bought myself a spellthief and buddied up with Corki. I made sooo much gold from throwing magic missiles in Lucian's face. Picked up my adc's kills too (not on purpose). Got me a Deathfire and a Soulstealer, maxed 20 stacks in 15 minutes and won in 20 minutes. Ending score was 11/1/14 with 40 cs, best support NA.
Still had my trusty spellthief too.

The closest there has been to a "support plays video" in memory was the Thresh hook plays from Rito not too long ago.
There is sort of this stigma behind being a support, and it definitely isn't helped by the lack of praise the role gets. People have been making requests recently for Riot to treat it somehow, but it's just like Riot to not make any official and concrete word on planned changes.

If you want to help me, teach me.
I think a lot of supporting can be compared to chess, you're constantly doing stuff like zoning and warding and even thinking, but no real sudden plays. That doesn't mean supports are doing the unappreciated work, but it's hard to compliment something, especially if you're not into supporting.
Though I think it's not that bad on my end. If we win some epic trade the marksman and I usually swap "gj"s around. And if I save someone I usually get thanked, even though it's for my own good too.
I guess there aren't that much videos of it for the same reason as that there aren't so much chess highlight videos.
********'s a pretty good fertilizer

Also, before i get started, greetings! First post here on this forum.
I want to begin by saying that i love playing support. Almost all of my unlocked champions are support orientated/strong. Whilst i do have others that cannot hope to play support, i dont play them nearly as much, nor am i remotely good with them. I plan to play support for as long as League of Legends interests me.
Now here comes the gripe. On video sites such as Youtube, there is an insane amount of videos for kills in League of Legends. In-sane. From kill compilations, top lists, Pentakill videos and lucky shots etc.
But for the life of me i cannot find a single video devoted to that one player who HELPED you get that kill - whereby his actions enabled you to GET that kill. I am talking about the heal from Kayle that kept you alive to get the kill when you would have surely died to your opponent. The shield that Morgana graciously gave you in the perfect time that nullified enough enemy damage to net you a double kill. Or even that Singularity that Luxanna aimed well to slow the escaping champion enough for you to catch up and remove that final 5%.
I am not after praise as support is a thankless job and i am well aware of that. But share some of the spotlight with the pro support players whose efforts, if they were absent, would prevent you from achieving as much as you did.
Thanks for reading.
