2) If you are capable of farming all the wraiths and wolves at times when playing with veigar; one of the worst laners ingame, you're playing vs bots. Framing enemy wraiths? WTF get ganked and die.
3) Dunno mate, havent tried em yet. Didn't say they put you back, just telling the strengths of my build compared.
4) I do not use doran's... I was talking about the 250 hp from catalyst. Max hp is always better when ganked or in teambattles in general. Like i said, i dont know bout the stones, but youre just babbling bro. I'll try yours, you try mine, then we can talk.
2) If you aren't farming your wraiths, your enemy's wraiths, and your wolves from lvl 6 on up without missing any minion deaths from your main waves....then you are not farming mid to its fullest potential. To do so requires insane mana regen.
3) By using the stones to get all that extra farming in early game it actually puts you ahead of your enemy in both experience levels and gold/items. So many people complain that stones set you back. The truth is, they thrust you forward. By getting two stones you make yourself able to farm so much more to get your first hp item earlier than you would have if you didn't get the stones at all.
4) And if you mean a lack of hp in early game because you didnt have a doran item....wow...100hp? You think that makes a difference compared to regen'ing 50hp per 5? The regen from two stones in early game prevents ganks MORE than a dorans item. And that is not even including all the resistance to harassment it gives you to prevent the enemy from even wanting to try to gank you in the first place.
When I first saw the cdr shoes + rabadons I cried out of pure joy, it was all for veigar BUT.
Not until lategame does people usually get mr, until then ap users have 30mr.
Runes + sorc shoes = 30mrp --> WIN! Those last 20 mr you take away will heighten all dmg made to the target with about 20%. You NEED this so much ive been thinking of putting in mask to counter merc treads...
Also, you need cdr early game, but more then that you need manareg. You get your boots when its killing time, therefore the cdr is more suitable for people like vlad.... and vlad whos much better at dealing consistent damage.
And while I do understand that void staff reduces the effectiveness of the sorc shoes its only there as a counter when the opponent start stacking mr. You need to adapt yourself to the situation.
Also, Midgame I have no problems with hpreg nor manareg because of my catalyst and dont need 2 stones who leaves me slow AND with low hp at ganks. Only at endgame does it become a problem but if I need to use ~3k mana in a teamfight, somethings terribly terribly wrong.
Btw, the target of your guide is similar to mine, but the build is not... at all bro.
Feel free to look up my guide under my name to check it out and compare.
I personally use banshees with almost all heroes in the game, its just too good! I guess there are games for roa too, but you can never go wrong with banshees. Champions are usually designed so that their spells depend on eachother. One for dmg, one for cc, one for escaping etc, blocking one might block the rest! :)
If the enemy team is AP heavy... enemy ap --> yay for veigar --> mr for enemies --> void staff + banshees, kind of like that. Veigar has nothing to fear from any ap users, imo.
Maybe for situations items put a
Also maybe an
But I guess you're right there really aren't that many defensive items that improves his offense and defense, but I think those might be a good addition.
I'm not sure what other situational items you are talking about but Frozen Heart is more for someone deeper in the fray like melee dps or tanks. If you need to counter a hero with AS reduction, you're not playing the way you should. You should keep your distance and if someone charges at you, stun/flash/ghost (or simply use great positioning) to get out of his reach. I have used it in one match before and ultimately I selled it to give space for something more suitable. I'd love to hear more of your thoughts about it! Thanks
