Nice guide, definitely quite comprehensive.

There is something that really bothers me though, and that's that you listed Gragas as someone who synergizes well with Jarvan IV. Cataclysm and Explosive Cask seem to have opposite desired effects...

Haha yeah, theres not much variety in the Jarvan guides because its really dominated by me, h4xdefender, and iamlegend. But since H4xdefender and I don't update much anymore, if you put enough work in your guide could be the next biggie to hit 1mil.

I really think if you put some more work into it it could easily be a multi-mil view guide

First, I find myself building berserker boots less and less. Its a fun item for normals, but I find myself buying ninja tabi more and more. Merc treads are obviously good in the right situation too.

Second, I won't always build BOTRK, but I definitely do with certain lane opponents. I wouldn't consider it a core item necessarily, but certainly an item I build more often than not.

I've been meaning to update this guide, but I've been a little busy myself. Not to mention my other guide gets way more love than this one does.

I do find myself almost in complete agreement that the boots need changing. They just aren't very effective.

Finally, another good Top lane jarvan guide is out! It's definitely a lot cleaner than mine. Gratz! (Btw, I'll upvote after this comment.

I've been looking for a guide to hand the gauntlet over to. (I don't really have the time to update my guide anymore), and so far yours has been the most promising.

However, I do have some constructive criticism for you considering the build and masteries.

I used to always run the feast/butcher masteries on jarvan, until I tested out the weaving masteries, and they worked far better. If you havent tested this, I recommend you do.

I don't agree with bork being a core weapon along with hydra. I understand the thinking behind it, as I've thought about it on many an occasion myself. Bork works well on jarvan, and hydra works well. But I feel like that slot could be better filled with a last whisper or youmuus.

Usually, grabbing a last whisper/cleaver after Hydra on a damage jarvan build is enough to 100-0 any squishies and put a huge dent in a tank.

lastly, I don't agree with the berserker boots. Jarvan doesn't gain that much off of attack speed. A slightly faster Q or slightly less cc or basic damage reduction is more likely to help him than the attack speed from the bersekers.

All in all though, I get the thinking behind it and in the end of all of it its just my philosophy about Jarvan differing from yours, which is fine. League isn't a one-strategy-wins-all game.
