GOLD
League can basically be summed up as a game about gold. If you have more gold than the other team you can buy more items and use those items to further your gold lead by taking objectives and getting more kills. Pyke’s ult allows your team to earn double gold on every kill Pyke’s ult is available, which can be used to get your team snowballing.

PICKS/PEAL
Much like the other champions with hooks Pyke is also used to make picks. There are many different combos that can be done to displace and stun enemies in positions where your team can quickly kill your catch. In the same way you can catch enemies out of position you can also used those same abilities and combos to peal for you ADC.

Execute
Finally, in the late game the gold generation from you ult will be less useful but your ult is still an execute. It will always be useful to chain kill the enemy team. The execute is also very useful for dealing with extremely tanky enemies or teams with heavy shielding.
