Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is my favorite way to build vladimir. Starting off with laning mid, all you have to do is play fairly defensive untill level 9, then you can go all out offensive. You can lane mid untill 11-12 really with your massive health regen through your drain.
I generally go back when I have enough for a Rylais and Sorc shoes.
Because of the glyphs and spec, all you need is golem buff to achieve 40% CDR, and it allows you to spam Transfusion every 1.8 seconds.
With the 15% Magic Penetration, 40% from the void staff, the 40 from the Haunting guise/sorc shoes and the 20 MR reduction from the abyssal scepter, you'll hit like a truck (Most of the time you won't see the zhoyna's.
MR - 20 /55% - 48 (
So for anyone to resist any of your damage they would need atleast 120 MR.
Summoner Spells: Flash and Ghost are in my opinion the best skills vladimir can do. Ignite and exhaust are handy, but you already have a slow and you should be hitting hard enough where you don't need the extra damage from ignite. Flash allows you to get away from ganks, as whell as ghost allows you to retreat from ganks (In conjunction with flash) or to rush a player and pool slow them (Allowing you to use tides and transfusion and/or ulti to rape a player)
Early game 1-8: Lane mid, use transfusion as much as possible, only use pool of blood as an escape measure. Start off with am Amplifying Tome and a Healing potion. If you're low on health, keep your distance and heal yourself off of minions.
Mid Game 9-15: Now you can spam your Transfusion. Play aggressively, and make your opponent regret trying to kill minions. Denying them gold will help you in the long run. If you haven't gone back yet and you're doing well (Which will happen more often than not) Go back at about 4,000 gold and grab your sorc shoes and Rylais.
End Game 16-18: Get your void staff next, you should have a hefty amount of HP and you should ahniliate people with your transfusion. Use your ulti to get kills or assist with team fights. Pool of blood is great to slow enemies or to escape, but watch the cooldown. Try to have the golem buff as often as possible. Play smart and remember you're a mage first tank second, don't overstep your HP pool (You have no armor and only a limited amount of MR).
I'll do some updates if I get atleast some decent feedback, and will clarify if needed. It's a fairly simple and straighforward build, vladimir is great on survival.
Note: I do not beleive you need the spirit visage or + magic vamp. Transfusion will heal quite a huge amount with all the AP you have already, the bonus from either item is trivialized. Your goal is to hit as hard as possible and carry your team to victory!
