As most people know, Udyr is the best junglers in the game, People who use him don't often think about laning with him. In the lanes, he is very strong as well. This guide will show you how to pump your game up with Udyr in the lanes. :)

For runes, I take
Greater mark of Fortitude x9
Greater seal of Alacrity x9
Greater glyph of Malice x9
Greater quintessence of Alacrity x3

This set-up allows me to have some extra health to take those attacks as well as get that early attack speed bonus in the beginning for first blood.

For my masteries I go with 21/9/0

This allows me to have armor pen and attack speed as well as some defense. The armor pen and attack speed lets you take down some of the bulkier players quickly. Some defense is good so you don't die to quickly, Udyr's abilities get more powerful the more you switch stance and that takes time, therefore being alive longer while try to take down those players helps you a lot.

I usually start out with some life steal so you can stay in the lane longer, even tho turtle stance grants you health and mana, life steal heals you regenerate your health a lot faster to be ready to harass the enemies more. Getting Stark's Fervor gives your lane partner the same perk as you do so they don't have to go back all the time. Next, I go for Madrid's Blood Razors, They give you a lot of speed and armor which is good for getting tough enemies down fast, but it also has damage of 4% of their total health which makes this item a key part of the build. Getting movement speed items are very important, I usually get boots of speed when i get around bear stance so it lets me chase the enemies down quickly and stun them so my team can jump in for the kill. Phantom dancer also gives speed, but also gives nice crit and attack speed. Bansh veil is a very nice defense item for Udyr granting him resistance and the aura, giving him the advantage over opponents.

I notice most people who play Udyr like to go with turtle stance first, but going with Tiger while laning is very Op in the beginning. The Dot is very high and it takes them down very quickly without a doubt. alternating with turtle stance til lvl 5 gives a good laning survivability. Grabbing bear stance at 5 is very helpful in chasing down enemies or going Mia from your lane to go help gank a teammates lane. Therefore the sequence in Udyr's abilities that I chose to go with is run in with E, stuns them, then W, giving you some defense when they hit back, then Q to Dps them down with the 3 stacks of your passive giving you 30% increase attack speed.

I like to go with Ignite and flash with a mastery point for ignite. Going with ignite and exhaust are very good as well, using that is an insured way of taking your foes down quickly. Having flash and ignite is nice for me because most of the time when you get them down they run back to their turret and they have like half a bar left. Having ignite lets you put it on them and kill them and flash pops you out of the turrets range and you're home free

Pros:

Very good at ganking.
Good at mowing down foes beggining and mid game
Has good cc with bear stance
Can get away easily with the movement speed from both items and ability

Cons:

Most players hold him as highest threat, therefore he is targeted first

Udyr in my opinion is one of the best players in the game. With this build he is even better. I like jungling with him when i have to, but I prefer laning. So go out there and have some fun with this build, comments are welcome. Be free to improve upon anything.
