Okay I've been dashing around on some random guides and not sure but I think fail guides are more common than it used to be few months ago.

I'm not sure if these people are trolling and watching what feedback they get, or it's a sabotage like act from rival sites or really this many noobs started to post lately. They take place, they are useless, and it's really hard to give normal feedback and you need the concentration of a yen priest to not downvote it.

MOBAFIRE has a bad reputation already (don't know why, the community basically is nicer than on other guide sites) and I think these junk builds and the amount of them contributes to this =/

Feel free to +rep me if i helped any way!

If you mean the number of bad guides made by one bad person, ok.

If you mean any number of guides made by someone (even just 1), not ok.

I made my first guide with nothing xD But ever since then I've risen to where I am now.

It'll never be possible to prevent people from making whatever it is they want though. This is why we just downvote the ones we don't like :D

Maybe we could just mark high ELO authors and put them above the ones without normal ELO.

Yea I know somepeople without ELO make fair or even good guides, I myself am still in queue for 5v5 ELO... never had more than 4 on from the team since our 4th game... but we're doing pretty good (well IMO), I also play for relatively long for now, pretty much tried all champion too (yup lots of loses lol). Before writing my first guide I checked high rated ones to see how they look, read around the forums about the format and read jhoijhoi's making a guide more than twice.

When I writting the 1st one I tried to go as in-depth as possible with everything and used everything (even the dark arts of maths) to prove my point. In the end I got an upvote from IceCreamy and got to 58% or so with my Yi guide (archived since S3). My second guide fighted its way to the top 5 Wukong guides and I'm so proud of it, even though I had to rewrite a lot after the balance updates.

Still I think we need some changes to place the high ELO guides above the others, the best guides are sometimes outdated or they arent that good at all, when people come to here they should see the good guides first, not some random stuff. Might be a bit rude or offensive but I think we need somekind of change =/

Post and/or rep restriction seems like a decent idea to me. Also being level 30 should be a restriction.

@Demon: very good idea indeed, how are my guides? x)

Bow down before the GrandmistressD of guides XD

I know there is a high ELO author tab, but if someone comes to the site to find a guide he will just check the top 3 maybe for the champ, those should be the high ELO authors who really know their stuff not just randomly post something that won them 2 bot games in a row.

Also the amount of new guides popping up in the new guides tab is insane and 3/5 will surely encourage you to eat your keyboard raw.

Basically I'm thinking of something that limits who can post something so we could follow things easier (and have less brain damage), also promoting high ELO guides would be nice.
