In all 4 cases, they didn't, so you will just have to deal with it. If you were to archive your guide because of some negative votes (excluding appropriate feedback), then you basically allow them to revenge vote you. If revengevoting means that you will archive your guide, then they win the game.
Just keep your guide up, keep working on it and upvotes will eventually follow.

The problem with it is, these downvotes took down my #1 spot, so it doesn't get as much attention (translates into upvotes or downvotes, but lets assume they guides are great and should only get upvotes). And because of that, they win automatically. I have something to lose, they don't.
By the way, I tried to reason with one and he only responded that I should take down the vote and comment and then he'd remove the vote. Isn't that something like blackmailing?

You can also try to be more noob-friendly. Noobies love you for it and might defend your work because of that.

That is because if you want to stop the problem, the whole site needs to go to an extreme. This would mean that the whole downvote system should be changed so that some people are basically not allowed to vote, or with certain standards which cause people not wanting to vote. This is not a solution, since it would take away the freedom Mobafire has to offer, it is one of the things that makes Mobafire the way it is.
Dealing with the problem is basically much easier for everyone than solving the problem in this case.

And sure, sometimes there will be people that were downvoted by you, that will also downvote your guide. Does that however mean that they revengevoted, or that they actually think your guide is bad? You cannot know for certain unless they bribe, blackmail or whatever.
So honestly, I doubt it is that simple, else it would be solved long ago.

Allright so most of you know that I am actively looking through new guides and filtering the good ones of the bad. But recently this has come to a problem for myself. Quite often I see people that revenge vote just because I considered their guide to be bad and downvoted them because.
I will quote a few downvotes on my guides (It is even worse on a few other guides because there is no c2v on it)
On the first one I only commented on the fact that the guy had over 5 upvotes from accounts with 0 posts on mobafire, on the second one I downvoted because of a bold statement in his guide ("I've never lost my lane"). The final guy you might know because of his trash attitude which I directly shot back to him.
Masteries really aren't that well explained.

This is rubbish.
Now this isn't meant to be a rage on these specific authors (if the mods want, you can remove the names of the guys - I simply use this to proof). The problem is, I cannot do anything to stop these troll votes because 'revenge votes' are tolerated by the mods (I reported those votes twice already). Another problem is that these 3 downvotes weigh more than the 6 upvotes I have gotten over the course of time after these votes.
What does mobafire do to stop these votes - or should I simply archive my guides because this problem gets ignored? /rant
