I really like how he looks as a champ, but a bunch of my friends say he is just really outclassed by other top lane champs. So I was curious, is he viable to be played? I don't mind not playing FotM champs, but as I'm about to start ranked soon, I don't wanna handicap myself TOO much by playing champs that are too weak.

Also, can he work in the jungle?

play whatever you want, if you're good enough you can win lanes you shouldn't win. But all in all, he isn't bad, he has a decent amount of counters but can also beat some people. I personally think he's a very good jungler but he can be a little slow on the start
Thanks for the Signature MissMaw!

Wukong is a very strong bruiser that scales ridiculously well with AD. His top lane is very strong because he is hard to trade with after level 3. I play him mostly in the jungle and really enjoy it. Like Mooninites said he is slow to start off, but has great after level 6.

In my opinion his ultimate is the greatest button to press, ever.
+Rep me if i'm useful!

Wukong's a really strong top lane due to his strong scaling and strong early damage. Hes outclassed by some of the strong picks, but not enough that will make me not pick him (My most played in ranked =D )

Jungle Wukong is sleeper OP, trust me ;D

But yeah he's good at solo top, especially if you know how to use Decoy to avoid ganks and stuff.

The Monkey King can be very good at top, but not always. He especially has trouble with the really bulky enemies. A few days ago I as Wukong got paired with a Malphite in top lane. His stupid passive made my harrass burst combo completely useless. Lucky for me he couldn't do that much offensively either, but still very annoying. At top there usually are a lot of bulky enemies with high defense, making monkey sad.

Wukong has good burst against low defense champions, a capcloser so you can hit that stupid ranged enemy anytime even though you're melee, the decoy is very fun if enemies get fooled by it (when decoy attacks it laughs at the enemy, very awesome stuff, it's what makes the monkey a king :D), and his ultimate can change the outcome of teamfights if used correctly. He is definetely a strong champion imo, but he has his flaws...

I don't know about jungle Wukong though, I've never tried it. Up until recently I didn't even know the monkey can be in the jungle (guess I should've paid more attention in biology class and National Geographic eh).
