There's no such thing as ELO hell.
I hate to, and have to, say this but if you can maintain the same ELO for about 50-60 matches, you belong there.
Work on your own mechanics like last hitting and map awareness.
That's about all the advice I can offer you.
Also, vets aren't high ELO. They've just been here long.
Dufftime and Xaioli are two of the best people on this site. The former is a member and the latter is a vet. Both are great at the game and above gold level.
