Well, I use 4 different pages for supports because it's my main role but i link you what I have and tell you what the uses are

Double g/10

Marks: Greater Mark of Armorx9
Seals: Greater Seal of Goldx9
Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Scaling Mana Regenerationx9
Quints: Greater Quintessence of Gold

Tank Support

Marks: Greater Mark of Armor
Seals: Greater Seal of Armor
Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Quints: Greater Quintessence of Gold

AP Support

Marks: Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Seals: Greater Seal of Armor
Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power
Quints: Greater Quintessence of Ability Power

Standard Support

Marks: Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Seals: Greater Seal of Armor
Glyph: Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Quints: Greater Quintessence of Gold

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

So for each page I have different uses. Double g/10 is basically a super passive lane or a lane my ADC can win. I would run it on someone like Janna or Soraka who I wouldn't necessarily feel like I'm getting much out of Magic Pen runes, and I'm able to just sit back and passively support

The tank page is of course for tanks, but I run it on alot of melee based supports to. Namely Taric, Leona, Alistar, etc. people that need to get in the enemies face

The AP Support page is for really high damage supports, if I'm playing Zyra or Lux or Gragas where my role not only has utility but aton of harass

The last page is my standard page, it can be run on virtually anyone, but I use it for Lulu, Nunu, Fiddlesticks, Sona, etc.

You have more than enough IP to buy one of those champions and all the runes you need to go along with them. And while Lux is a fine support, she's definitely outclassed by others. Leona is a more all in tanky initiator while sona is more poke, peeling, and disruption. If you're going to take runes for either of them they'd have to be:

Sona:

9x Flat armor reds
5x flat armor yellows
4x flat mana regen yellows
9x magic resistance scaling blues
3x gold per 10 quints

Leona:

same as above but replace the 4x flat mana regen yellows with flat armor yellows. The play-styles of both champions vary significantly. If you like to be more aggresive take Leona. If you'd rather wittle your opponents down without going all in and have a bit more sustain, take Sona. I prefer Sona, but that's just me. Hope I helped :)
If you think I did a good job criticizing a guide or giving helpful info, or for just being a bawz of a bro, rep would be awesome :)

Well I think you have tons of IP to get started on that support road. But I recommend buying Luxif you want to support. I have seen tons of support succeed and fail, But Lux is by far the best support I have seen in my LoL days. I love Leonaand all, I think she's a great support but in my opinion she's more of tank then a support :/.

Runes you may need:
Red: Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Yellow: Greater Seal of Armor, Greater Seal of Gold
Blue: Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Quintessence: Greater Quintessence of Gold, Greater Quintessence of Ability Power

You might be able to think of some more one's for blue. I personally don't support alot so I'm just basing it off of what I have done in the past.

She's more situational. She's good with champions like Ezreal and Graves who can burst hard when she catches people out, but she's not even close to the best support.

Zyra does virtually everything lux does, but better and more consistently

If you're going to play around in normals buy Sona or Lux as they're both cheap and both can be put in about any lane. Leona is specifically a kill lane/burst lane support champion.

A full page would be.............
9 armor reds
9 armor yellows
9 MR/lvl blues
3 gold quints

That should win you almost any game, regardless of ranked or normal. If you know more about support then you can go into different rune pages, but this will work on anything and be effective regardless of your match up. Support is one of the roles I played in S2 and S3.
