After playing him a bit I pretty much realized that while Mega Gnar is awesome, there's not much point (IMO) in building around it. When I play, I use Mega Gnar for disengage 99% of the time, unless I happen to be able to use it for something else, in which case great.
But then again, that's my playstyle. I've had success with it, but that doesn't mean much.
