Twilight gets **** because the books are terribly written, pretty much it. Kinda like the way Eragon wasn't the most well written novel ever (give me **** all you want. I'd rather read The Dragonriders of Pern, thanks) and then the movie was REALLY effing bad despite having good actors in it (Jeremy Irons OP).
They cannot compete with well written, classic novels like LotR and The Chronicles of Narnia. Or even Harry Potter, really (though I think Deathly Hallows had a tad too many cliches).
That and the fact that Kristen Stewart is a terrible actress...see Snow White and the Huntsman for another example of her inability to portray believable emotion. Robert Pattinson gets too much **** though...he was a good Cedric Diggory.
tldr: I'm a book snob.

From what I know the dude really doesn't like twilight.
After an I'm feeling lucky google search:
Quoted:
… The more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that’s how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself.
It's kind of ******ed though. If he accepted the role then he shouldn't really diss it, it's his fault for accepting it without knowing what he was getting into. Though I guess the moment the first movie comes out he's allowed to say whatever he wants, it's not like they can replace him.

Yeah, but if he accepts the job he shouldn't be publicly insulting it, even if he does hate it. Just suck it up.

And what did she do to survive?
Batman got beat up trying to protect his city, and then after he was all broken he still risked his life in order to get out of the pit for another try.
I never watched twilight nor do I have the intention of doing so, but from what I know Bella doesn't do ****, she just waits for the other dude to do stuff for her. It doesn't matter how much pain she has to endure, anyone can endure pain, what matters is what you do despite the pain. She's a powerless girl and the story revolves around knights in shining armour rescuing her. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, how did she survive an artery being cut? If the femoral artery is cut you'll bleed to death in 3 minutes.
