Got bored after 2002, but plz, check the list, it's an interesting read tbh.
It shows that proper channels just don't work for the intelligence agencies. They think themselves above the law and be aware should you ever dare to tell em they're not.
I mean come on, seriously, given the info leaked, how vehemently the practices have been defended by politicians, do you really think the proper channels would've worked in this case? Given the examples previous whistleblowers have provided?
Also, find it kinda funny. 40 years after Perry Fellwock went public on the NSA, things haven't changed a single bit.
Thanks for posting the info.
I find this more sad than funny tho :(

I'm not claiming anything, but I think we shouldn't become mindless fans.
Yeah, that's just not the case.. Many pieces of information have been confirmed along with the source.
You'd literally have to paranoid to actually believe that it's orchestrated.

I think you don't quite understand how it works.
It's not what he says that gets posted/made public. The journalists extract the data from the files he provides. It's a similar procedure as with the wikileaks articles, the data is checked/sifted through, redacting names and other identifying data and then re-formulated in bite-sized chunks the public can understand.
That adds just another layer where something could go wrong. I like to be paranoid sometimes. If I posted the NSA was tracking all internet trafic 15 years ago you would probably react the same as you do on my absurd hypothesis. Let's not underestimate them.
I'm not saying it's all orchestrated or anything, but I was just pointing out that Snowden isn't a boyband. Once again, no disrespect for the man.
I realize the info might just be checked and found real, but that doesn't mean it's just the tip of the iceberg or just a more romantic version of the real thing, maybe to keep the common-folk happy, maybe Snowden doesn't even know about it. After all, people feeling safe is far more important than being safe for a government.
It's all just hypothetical and paranoid but I think it's worth keeping in mind with things like this.

I did receive $500 for posting this and once again I don't claim anything at all but if people were to have a serious discussion about this could you please drop the fanclub attitude? Hell, he's the word of the year already.

I'm amazed there is still attention for this affair and people actually seem to know about it. I would've expected that people would lose interest within a few days like with every other "major" event.
