Btw if anyone wants to try planetside it's a 45 day free trial (i believe). however the game isn't even CLOSE to the level of epic it was in it's prime (like 4-5 years ago). you'll get a taste of the concept but not the big picture. still fun tho.

sorry dude, i just checked and SOE seems to have shut down all the download links to the client (where you can sign up for the trial). if you can pirate it or something you might have a chance. otherwise here's some cool videos of the first game, kinda shows the scale of it all but doesn't really show much action.

The first game pretty much offered a fighting experience that is not even close to any other game. The closest thing I can think of is Battlefield, but it's about 20x bigger (at least). Great game, not very well known, but definitely check it out. This might be the game that gets me away from League :O
