Well, I'm pretty sure 90% of the Metro interface is copied from other operating systems.
I don't like it as much as you, but saying something is a copy nowadays is stupid.
If nobody ever touched anybody's creative property whatsoever, LoL wouldn't exist, this website wouldn't exist, most RTS games wouldn't exist, and stuff like that.
Innovation is innovation. If somebody has made something similar beforehand which suits your needs, why reinvent the wheel? Simply change the wheel to your liking.
