I was thinking about screwing with my friends and building a somewhat tanky AP Jayce. The idea seemed like total nonsense to me at first but then I noticed that it could have some potential with the bonus magic damage off of thundering blow and lightning field. If it could work someone please let me know, otherwise feel free to shoot down my dreams :)

Thundering blow scales with AD, not AP. The only one of Jayce's abilities with an AP ratio is Lightning Field. Just because something does magic damage does not mean it scales with AP.
