I've got a friend who mostly plays jungle, and plays Jungle 
Zyra a lot, to the point where I argue that he overrates it. I constantly end up arguing with him about its power. From what I've seen of his play, I see some major issues.
Pros: Good ganks, surprisingly fast, good sustain with blue because of plants, works with jungle income (support builds)
Cons: Squishy as hell. Can't duel worth a damn. Needs cooldowns so getting jumped while clearing is catastrophic. Needs a leash or she can't clear. Needs to take blue so mid lane might not get it. Piss poor mobility (my friend has to get Mobility Boots every game)
Overall she looks like a weaker version of other ganking AP junglers. Elise seems to outdo her in every way other than the fact that Zyra has a great ultimate, but you could put her in other roles and you'd still have that.

For the record Im currently running a build similar to that of saintVicous's Jungle Karthus, 21/0/9 masteries in ap + mana/runic affinity + spellvamp quints, Mpen Marks, Armor seals, and ap glyphs.
Right now Im trying to find out what team comps she'd work best in and what the best items to build on her are. All advice is appreciated :)
