You can't rush lich bane on Kassadin and you can't build ... a Berserker Greaves.
Just get a blue and a red, and you'll be good to spam your ult. If you're really that desperate, get a CD elixir.

Your a couple of months late bro. AD Kassadin used to be awesome, when W gave you 50 armor pen. Sadly it got nerfed (or buffed?) to the current W.
ATM, you're better off with sorc shoes.
My early game build i as follow : Dorans Ring + Dorans ring + boots of speed + Dorans ring + sorc shoes + RoA.
Skill order : Q-W-Q-E-Q-R-Q-E-Q-E-R-E-W-E-W-R-W-W
I have yet to lose mid with that build/skill order
P.S. I get W at lvl 2 so I can harass more, without getting OOM.

Being super mobile and great at quick burst, you don't need to take out an enemy in one hit. Just jump in, burst, jump out. Kassadin's W (that's his on-hit attack, right?) is EXTREMELY useless. As in, there will be very few instances where you will be able to hit the enemy with it without getting completely boned.
