Lol, yeah that threat might be good :P
And yeah I played rammus when he was free week, and I never lost a game, didn't use guides or anything just did the ol' wing it, Idk. Jax seems fun but i've been told he's hard to use. But i'm one for buying the champions hard to use.

I would suggest only buying a champ you've played before. Not just buying Urgot because you never see him, you might not like him!
Also to me Zilean is my favorite on this list. He is super fun! ^.^ Rammus got nerfed and that made me sad. He is still fun though, and you can jungle with him which is nice. Kassadin I haven't played but always seems fun to blink around killing people.
Jebus that would be awesome. I put in my New Player FAQ the first question "which champion should I buy" and just said general rules and tips that we give people but that we really can't tell you who to buy. If you make that thread I would be glad to link it in my FAQ.

AP Twisted Fate | AD Carry Kog | Support Sona
Kassadin: Great AP carry, has a high skill cap. You need to be able to port in - combo - port out to do well with kassadin.
Jax: Well, I don't know a lot about post-nerf jax.
Cho'gath: He's got some decent CC: AoE silence & AoE knock-up, and he's got a ton of health right off the bat with full stacks of his ultimate. I think he's best played as a tanky mage because no one focuses cho'gath if he's a tank.
Rammus: He's a great tank, he's among the best currently. He's been hit a lot with the nerf bat, but Riot's been gentle with all these baby step nerfs to not annoy all the diehard rammus fans. He's still a great tank, but don't expect him to be super OP like he once was. He's a great jungler, but his ganking was nerfed significantly with the speed decrease.
Zilean: A great support champ that can revive people and change the tide of team fights. His bombs are devastating pokes, and with CDR he can do all sorts of crazy things. I'm sort of expecting zilean QQ because he was recently put in tier 1 of Elementz' tier list, and even though he's the last spot in tier 1, his revive is super annoying and he can do some poke damage to boot.
Mordekaiser: He's a pretty fantastic tanky mage that went through some nerfs a while back. He still dominates, but he has NO cc whatsoever. He can destroy, and he's unstoppable once farmed.
That's just my two cents on each champion. I don't really want to choose one because all of them are good and they have different roles, but my personal preference is Zilean.
