Highly mobile, its super effective vs cassiopiea! I think she's one of the few melee champions that can mid and she's pretty balanced right now. Maybe slightly OP because of her passive, but balanced in the sense that you can counter her.
If you actually know how to build/play her she's a beast. The only problem right now, of course, is that Gangplank is the FoTM solo top, and he counters Riven easily. Olaf is another counter, but no one plays Olaf because for some god-forsaken reason Elementz thinks Olaf is t4 solo queue material (below real winners like Mundo and Volibear), and no one at high elo lanes with him actually at all (I've seen probably two solotop olafs who weren't me, and they both built him completely wrong and got stomped on), so no one really knows how good he is.
Man, that was quite the tangent. Anyways, Riven is still strong. I'm not sure she got nerfed, they switched some damage off her E and onto her Q so it's possible you need to skill Q first to get higher DPS (haven't done all the math), but regardless she still does ******ed damage and is strong no matter which part of the game she's in because she scales so well.

Wat.
I have not seen one GP in a long while.
If anything, Singed>Riven
He just builds FH, which is a super cost-effective item, and he wins for free.

GP doesn't counter Riven, when will ppl ever learn.. :P
I agree, he doesn't counter her.
But he has enough of an advantage that he should win that lane every time.
Also to OP, Riven is good. If you like her you should get her and learn her.
She does have some counters, and she does lose some lanes, but she's strong.

Riven is good, but not unstoppable. The real problem is her mobility + stun, which sort of makes her immune to ganks unless she is playing like a ******.
This coming from someone who lanes *against* Riven quite often solo top.
I've never really felt like her damage is OP, just her ability to avoid death when other solo tops probably would've fed me.

Well I played a couple games recently vs. Riven, and if he got a kill or two early, kinda snowballed like crazy. So I just wanted to get a consensus on the state of Riven right now. Broken, OP, balanced, UP? A strong pick, or are there other champs I should think about investing in before him? The only other champs I dont have that are "similar" to him are Volibear, Shyv, Yorick, Irelia, Pantheon, and Renekton.
So just wanted to get an opinion on how you think riven stacks up (im in low ELO)! Sorry for the long post!
