This seemed to be very helpful since I saw some guides saying "don't play against yorick". I think this strategy might be useful for dealing with it. Especially since wukong has the perfect counter with his Decoy.

Getting Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration instead of Greater Seal of Armor or equivalent of 11 mana/5. Focus on getting level 2 boots asap(like Boots of Speed, Health Potions-> Ionian Boots of Lucidity) and high enough Decoy for you to play comfortably with it's cooldown.

The idea is that you want to be able to outrun his ghouls if he uses them on you. Just run into the bush or far enough away that the ghoul can't do anything.

The advantage being that the ghoul that slows you will only slow you while it can see you and that ghoul that heals yorick will not attack your Decoy, it will get confused and wasted. The trick is to use Decoy after he uses his ghouls and then just get out of range or visibility.

If he uses his ghouls to heal off cs just use Nimbus Strike and Crushing Blow to kill the red one quickly then last hit with your regular attacks, you will not likely run out of mana with the seals because wukong's spells are so cheap.

Haha nice one, do you think that some ****ty regen seals will make you able to spam your Decoy and kill ghouls with spells ? Look at the manaregen those seals give you at lvl 6 ...

Then ok, but I know who will win this stupid fight, as yorick will buy ToG-> Manamune or/and Glacial shroud, to have mana (+cdr) and spam ghouls even more.

And let's say you can spam your spells to avoid being hit by every E/W ghoul and then kill them fastly with your spell.
You let him freefarm in eary lvl.

The only hope to not lose against yorick would be being constantly near a bush and going in when he's out of range/CD to W on you in. But he is a way better pusher than you, if he doesn't want to have the minons fighting near a bush he can decide to change it. You can't ... oh I forgot that you could spam spells, could you to push minions back ?

If your jungle helps you a ton in early game and yorick falls really behind, then your tactic could work, but in this case any tactic would work.

Not even talking about the fact that wukong is so easy to counterbuild for Yorick (frozen heart + tabi) and it does not even annoy him to do as those item are good for him.

PS : boots lvl 1 + pots then boots lvl 2.
What about sustain ?

edit : didn't wanted to seem offensive here, but really I was o_O, a tactic costing tons of mana on a Wukong without harassing the enemy but only to (maybe) not take damage ... coulnd't stay calm.

I found that the best way to beat a Yorick top is to go very agressive early, best way to make that work are AD Quints+Marks with resistances in Glyphs and Seals.
You need to get him oom and then you can go to town with him.

Wukong works pretty nice vy Yorick if you get your combos off properly.

You should only use spells to quickly kill the red ghoul Omen of Famine when yorick needs to heal, don't waste spells on the Omen of War and don't engage with Omen of Pestilence in play. This strategy is not meant to make you dominate yorick without ganks, it's just a strategy to even the playing field by allowing you to avoid his spells and keep his healing at bay.

Green Ghoul
Omen of Pestilence is meant to keep the target in range of all of yorick's ghouls to maximize Yorick's damage.
1. Omen of Pestilence's slow effect is removed immediately when you go invisible from Decoy, the initial slow effect is 1.5 seconds so if you go invisible a second after it's cast you should still be able to get out of range.
2.Level 2 boots asap allow you to get out of range of the green ghoul while invisible for the rest of the game.
3. Yorick's ghouls will not follow you while you are not visible they stop at your decoy.
4. Omen of Pestilence has a 12 second cooldown but Decoy can be reduced below 12 seconds at level 4.

Why mana is not an issue.
1. Crushing Blow costs 40 mana.
2. Nimbus Strike costs 45 mana at level 1.
3. Decoy costs 65 mana at level 4.
4.Wukong has a high base mana regen 6.9+(.65 per level) vs Yorick's 6.5+(.45 per level). The seals double his mana/5 per level. Wukong won't have much trouble with mana.

It's all about adaptation and creativity..
I wouldn't say that Wukong a strong pick vs Yorick but ofc it's viable if you got some tricks up your sleeve.

Same goes for me when Playing Katarina vs Wukong.
Wukong is considered a strong pick vs Katarina but I've managed to find some loopholes in his approach. By using Shunpo on a minion each time Wukong use Nimbus Strike on me allows Katarina to dodge each Crushing Blow from Wukong and punish him with a Bouncing Blade.

Well yea he's not ideal vs Yorick. But these tactics at least make it somewhat manigeable which is more than some champions can say.
