Locke is joining the roster on the 24th of June when Patch 26.13 goes live. Read on to get to know League's latest mid laner and see what he can do!
League of Legends has a new demon slayer in town: Corvin Locke. Locke will be an assassin-archetype melee, mid-lane mage, similar to Katarina, though with the added need to manage mana. Like Katarina, Locke will be bringing mobility and tons of damage to the table, but unlike Kat, also comes with some heavy duty built-in crowd control.
You won’t have to wait long to try Locke out. You can already play him on PBE right now, or wait just a few more days for his debut on the 24th of June, in Patch 26.13.
Locke’s Abilities
Silver Stake
passive
Innate: Locke's basic attacks deal 5 – 44.12 (based on level) (+10% AP) bonus magic damage on-hit, increased by 0%-100% (based on target's missing health), up to 10 – 88.24 (based on level) (+20% AP).
Ritual Nails
Q
Active: Locke hurls a nail in the target direction that deals magic damage to enemies hit, slows them by 25% for 1 second, and applies a stack of Soul Nails for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent applications and stacking up to 3 times. Against targets with at least 2 Soul Nails stacks, the slow is increased to 60% and lasts for 2 seconds.
Ritual Nails can be recast twice more within 5 seconds of the activation at no additional cost, with a 0.5-second static cooldown between casts.
Recast: Locke mimics the first cast's effects. For each recast not used when Ritual Nails ends, 20% – 35% (based on level) of the ability's cooldown and mana cost is refunded, up to a 40% – 70% (based on level) refund for two remaining recasts.
Locke's next damaging basic attack or Ashen Pursuit (E) against an enemy with Soul Nails stacks consumes them all to deal bonus magic damage for each stack.
Soul Ignition
W
Active: Locke ignites his soul for 6 seconds, gaining 40% – 73.53% (based on level) bonus attack speed and bonus movement speed for the duration, with the latter decaying to 20% over 1 second after 1.5 seconds have elapsed. While active, Locke also stores 100% of the post-mitigation damage he takes from enemy champions plus the total amount of health lost from Soul Ignition's health cost as grey health on his health bar, up to a cap, increased by up to 250 – 630 (based on level) (+ 40% AP) based on his missing health and Soul Ignition's elapsed duration.
After 0.5 seconds, Soul Ignition can be recast within the duration, and does so automatically afterwards.
Soul Ignition
W2
Recast: Locke ends Soul Ignition and consumes his current grey health to heal for the same amount.
Ashen Pursuit
E
Active: Locke blinks to the target location, dealing magic damage to all nearby enemies upon arrival.
Ashen Pursuit
E2
For the next 4 seconds, Locke gains 275 bonus range and can declare an attack command (default: Right Mouse Button MB2 / right-click) against an enemy within the next 4 seconds. Once or if the declared attack target is within his attack range, Locke dashes in their direction, dealing magic damage to enemies he passes through as well as those around him.
Scoring a takedown against an enemy champion resets Ashen Pursuit's cooldown.
Purgatory
R - Ultimate
Active: Locke throws an artifact to the target location. Upon arrival, it fires latching nails to all enemies around it, dealing magic damage and marking for 5 seconds and slowing them by 99% decaying for 2 seconds. Marked enemies are executed below a percentage of their maximum health.
Purgatory
R2
If at least one champion is executed, the artifact will remain on the ground for 117 seconds, during which Locke can move near it to consume it, reducing Purtagory's total cooldown by 20% and gaining a Sealed Champion, both for each champion executed. Executing enemies extends the mark's duration by and up to its original duration.
