TFT Set 17 Mechanic: Realm of Gods

Read up on Set 17's brand new mechanic: Realm of Gods, and get to know the 9 TFT Gods and all of their blessings.

Set Mechanic: Realm of Gods

Set 17 is doing away with Carousels and replacing them with The Realm of Gods. You will visit the Realm of Gods once each Stage and offer allegiance to one of two Gods, gaining a God-specific boon in the process. All God offerings also come with a component, as the Carousel units did before. Additionally, Pengu will offer a tiny extra treat after you make your selection as well.

The most selected God before Stage 4 Round 7 will become your Chosen God. You won't be offered any other Gods or their boons after that point, but your Chosen God will offer a final extra powerful 4-7 Blessing. Thereafter, you will continue to periodically gain smaller boons from your Chosen God for the rest of the game.

Cosmic Gods & Blessings

Each God has their own domain, and while their boons can vary in strength and type, they always suit their Gods' domains. The strength of the boons scales with the game, with the strongest boons appearing at 4-7.

Ahri

Ahri is the God of Opulence, so her boons are econ related, granting either gold, experience, or rerolls. Ahri is a very straight-forward choice for your Chosen God since econ is important in every game, no matter what comp you run. Examples of Ahri’s boons are as follows:

STAGE 2: 6 gold, 8 XP, or 5 Rerolls

STAGE 3: 8 gold, 10 XP, or 7 rerolls

STAGE 4: 12 gold, or 8 rerolls

4-7 REWARD: 2 gold, 2 XP and 2 rerolls each round.

Aurelion Sol

Aurelion Sol is the God of Wonders, and he works a little bit differently than the other deities. Most Gods offer rewards, while Aurelion Sol offers... opportunity. You'll only receive Sol's boons after you complete his quests. If you enjoy toying around with team comps and Emblems, Aurelion Sol is a great choice for you.

STAGE 2: Reach 50 gold to gain component anvil +4 gold, or Field 6 non-unique traits to get a random emblem and a reforger

STAGE 3: Star up a unit to get 10 gold, or Field 6 non-unique traits to get a random emblem and a reforger

STAGE 4: Reach level 9 to get 20 gold

4-7 REWARD: Choose one of three trials to prove yourself to Aurelion Sol.

Ekko

Ekko, naturally, is the God of Time. He will be offering up Artifacts and other goodies, but on a timer. His rewards are very strong, but require patience. He would be a good choice if you are already win-streaking or lucky, and aren’t in a rush to get stronger.

STAGE 2: Scuttle Puddle (+blue orb & 3 gold), Blessing at 30 HP (25g value), Spatula in 4 rounds, Artifact in 8 rounds, or 4-cost in 3 rounds

STAGE 3: Scuttle Puddle (+blue orb & 4 gold), Implant (20% AS), 2x5 cost in 4 rounds, or Component anvil in 3 rounds

STAGE 4: Artifact in 5 rounds, Completed Item Anvil in 4 rounds, 2 gold every turn, Full 5-cost shop in 3 rounds, or Implant (20% AS)

4-7 REWARD: Gain the Anomaly item, which provides unique bonuses based on role.

Evelynn

Evelynn is the God of Temptation. Her boons require a small sacrifice. She makes a good Chosen God for players who like to live a little dangerously.

STAGE 2: 8 gold (lose 1 HP per), two 2-Costs (lose 1 HP), or 2 Lesser Duplicators (no shop for 2 rounds)

STAGE 3: 11 gold (lose 1 HP per), random emblem (lose 3 HP), 15 gold (no shop for 2 rounds), two 3-Costs (lose 2 HP), or three 1-Costs (lose 2 HP)

STAGE 4: 14 gold (lose 1 HP per), two 4-Costs (lose 3 HP), Completed Item (lose 5 HP), or 18 gold (no shop for 2 rounds)

4-7 REWARD: Your team gains 10% Durability. Lose an additional 1 health when you lose combat.

Kayle

Kayle is the God of Order. Like Ahri's, her boons are universally useful, though perhaps a smidge less powerful than some others. Kayle will be a good “dip” God, for when you desperately need a specific item, though perhaps not the most powerful Chosen God.

STAGE 2: Random Component, Sparring Gloves, Recurve Bow, or Tear of the Goddess

STAGE 3: Random Component, B. F. Sword, Chain Vest, Needlessly Large Rod, or Negatron Cloak

STAGE 4: Random Component, or any of the previously listed items from the offerings in Stage 1 and Stage 2.

4-7 REWARD: Upgrade a random Completed Item to Radiant.

Soraka

Soraka is the God of Stars and, just like her champion counterpart, she is the healer of the pantheon. Her 4-7 Boon is extremely powerful for a player on the edge of elimination.

STAGE 2: 8 HP and gold, 12 HP, or Giant's Belt

STAGE 3: 8 HP and gold, 12 HP, Giant's Belt, or Implant (350 HP)

STAGE 4: 8 HP and gold, 12 HP, Giant's Belt, or Implant (350 HP)

4-7 REWARD: Team gains 2 HP per missing Tactician health. +1 current and max health Tactician each round.

Thresh

Thresh is the God of Pacts. He offers random rewards, perhaps of players who hate making decisions or love to gamble, and always pick the Call to Chaos Augment when they see it.

STAGE 2: Random + 2 gold, or Random Loot (~value of 7 gold)

STAGE 3: Random + 3 gold, or Random Loot (~value of 9 gold)

STAGE 4: Random + 5 gold, or Random Loot (~value of 10 gold)

4-7 REWARD: After each player combat, roll a die. Gain rewards based on the result.

Varus

Varus, The God of Love, offers boons of units. He is the right Chosen Gods for players who tend to go for three-starring units or enjoy a good Legendary Soup.

STAGE 2: 2 and 3-Cost, Owned 3-Cost, 2 Tiny Duplicators, or 3-Cost Shop

STAGE 3: 3 and 4-Cost, Lesser Duplicator, Owned 3-Cost, or 4-Cost Shop

STAGE 4: 4 and 5-Cost, Lesser Duplicator + 5 Tiny Duplicators, Owned 4-Cost, or 1% increase in 5-Cost Odds.

4-7 REWARD: Your team gains 10 health for each total star level in your army. Increase your 5 cost odds by 4%.

Yasuo

Last but not least, there's Yasuo, the God of Abyss. Yasuo's boons empower your hexes, making units more powerful. Hexes are consumables and disappear after use, so think before you give them to your units! The following hex types are available:

SOLAR HEX: Allies in the hex deal 18% bonus magic damage over 5 seconds. This damage applies 33% Wounds, and 1% Burns over the duration.

COSMIC HEX: 10% max HP, + 30 HP each round

CRYOGENIC HEX: The first time an ally in the hex falls below 40% Health, they freeze for 1 second and heal 35% of their max Health.

ACCELERATION HEX: Allies in the hex gain 30% Attack Speed.

STORM HEX: The first time an ally in the hex hits an enemy with an Ability, that enemy is Stunned for 2 seconds.

STARLIGHT HEX: Allies in the hex gain 3 Mana Regen.

4-7 REWARD: Increase the power of Yasuo's hexes by 50%. If you only have 2 hexes, gain 12 gold.
