Whats the best way to explain an item in a guide?

When doing the 'Items' section on a guide, wich format it's better?

1- Explaining the items and their purpose or sinergy with the champ without explaining how the item works
2- Explaining the items and their purpose or sinergy with the champ And explaining how the item works,
wich helps for people who doesnt know or jsut to understand better the item and why i recommend it

personally i think 1 its better since explaining an item its kinda pointless, and takes some extra time and space in the guide.

Item description every body can read. you should focus on why this specific items and when to buy it. Add specific details if needed like it gives MS if your build is MS build for example.

I definitely agree with 1. like you said yourself, explaining how an item works just takes up extra time and space (not to mention it usually ends up being listing stats or what the item does, which you can basically read by hovering over the icons). Don't forget to mention when you take a certain item though. For example, if you end up having 3 armor items that are all "effective against AD" then your reader still has no idea when to buy what.
