What's with this new ratting system?

I can't seem to find anything about the new circular looking guide score. how is the number gotten or increased? Is it the same as the last score system they had before? Does anyone know anything about it?
(the circle to the left of the votes now with a number like X.Y)

The system is the exact same as it was before, it's only different visually. The guide score takes into account all of your votes (both upvotes & downvotes). The way to increase it is to get more upvotes and likewise it could decrease with downvotes and so forth.
