League of Legends (LoL) Question: Fadeaway Pull still exist?

My friend are I get very bored on League, so we just try Threshcrank just for the fun of it. idk why, but we can never, I mean NEVER pull off those fadeaway pulls (basically when Blitzcrank Rocket Grab someone whilst Thresh pulls Blitzcrank with his lantern.) I'm not sure if Rito nerfed this or we're somehow doing it wrong...
Help someone?
