So the [[Ardent Censer] is a pretty cool new Item - However after trying it out a few supports I just haven't been able to get it to work - the way I want. I gave it a show on Nami and it's fine but it feels weak if the game goes much past 30minutes. Also it's not cheap. I was wondering if anyone has any success stories about this item, was wondering if Alistar was viable with it or maybe someone I'm not considering.

Long story short: It's very mediocre overall because it gives very little stats and is very expensive. There are way more important items that you can get for less gold. Therefore I don't really consider it as a viable item for any support out there.

It can be a tad expensive but if you throw it on someone that makes good use of the passive you'll easily get your gold worth. Karma or Alister, for example, makes that item somewhat OP. Team-wide 25% AS buff for 6 seconds is significant. That buff alone pays for the item.

Champions with AoE Heals and Shields can work well with this item, but it mostly depends whether your mates can make use of the AS buff or not. AP Mid usually wont hit harder with 25% AS more but Jax, Vayne, etc will deal a considerable amount of extra damage. It's kinda situational, but works well with on-hit (or every x-th hit) champions.
