Countering your counter

I have been wondering for quite some time.

If you get counter picked, what is the best way to deal with that?
I had a lot of problems with this, answer is much appreciated ;)

Roaming is a good tip, but the best thing you can do, is counter their build, for example.

If they have high attack speed, buy frozen heart.
If they have high damage, low health, buy thornmail.
If they are burst AP, buy banshee's
If they are sustained AP, buy spirit visage
If they are tanky, buy BotRK.

You can't counter a counter-pick directly. They are counter-picks for a reason, at least the hard counters. You can do a few things though:

1. Outplay them if you are more skilled, though this is unlikely because the match-making system matches you with people of similar skill level.

2. Call for jungle ganks

3. Farm If your jungler does not really do much. Build tankier so you can stay in lane longer to farm/trade. In this situation, you basically avoid feeding. Do not die and make it into teamfight phase.

4. If you can't even farm, roam and snowball other lanes.
