New Tier List

Description

PATCH 9.4 NOTES: Thresh is still A-tier, but has dropped a couple places in the tier since he is unable to spam his hook like before. Nothing else has changed; Poke/Sustain Supports are currently the meta, followed by Hard-Poke Supports and Catch Supports!

Hello all! This tier list displays, in my own opinion, what the strongest and weakest Supports are in the current meta. I will only be grading true Supports. By a true Support, I mean those that are played in the Support role at least 20% of the time. Anything that is not played in the Support role at least 20% of the time is considered a niche pick. Niche picks will be put into the 'Niche' tier at the bottom. This does NOT make them bad champions to play; they just aren't very common Supports.

Each Tier is structured in the same way. Champions closer to the left-hand side are relatively stronger than those on the right-hand side. The farther left, the closer a champion is to being in the next tier. Read each tier and the list overall as a gradient; it's not black and white!

I will be adding notes to each of the champions in the very near future. Stay on the lookout for those, as they will contain the reasoning behind each placing!

I highly encourage debates, critiques, and anything else you would like to say in the comments! Thanks for taking the time to read through and check my tier list out!

DISCLAIMER: All Supports are technically viable picks in any given meta. However, this tier list shows which Supports consistently perform better in the current meta. Champions WILL rise and fall throughout the season as changes to the champions and game are made. I will be updating this all year long as my experiences, statistics, and the game are changed.
1

s tier

Meta Picks | Meta-defining Supports

2

a tier

Strong Picks | Supports that, if played correctly, can rival and even best those in S tier

3

b tier

Slightly Above-Average Picks | Better than those in C tier, but have key weaknesses that hold them back from being in A tier (or higher)

4

c tier

Average Picks | These champions are the average Support. Expect to win ~50% of the time

5

d tier

Below-Average Picks | These champions don't perform as consistently as those in the higher tiers in the current meta

6

Niche tier

These are champions that are played less than 20% of the time in the Support Role. Fun to try out in Norms, but generally not recommended for Ranked!
