When I first played Nidalee support, I also maxed heal first, but javelin toss second, since the cooldown of bushwhack doesn't reduce by leveling it up.
However, I do think that the AP support approach can have a bigger influence"

"I liked your guide and I can see it working. It is good to see someone doing something different once in a while.
I would suggest 0/9/21 to your masteries. You can have more health and more armor to help you being always "healthier" and extra 10 gold everytime you use smite.
