Posted a Comment: Mar 4th, 2011 "You never have to worry about mana with runes. As Jebus said, it's an extreme late game item and you won't have the benefits in the early when you really need them. Also I recommended Banshee's Veil because it's possibly the best MR item in the game and his build is lacking in MR."

Another reason to get Banshee's Veil is because you're sorely lacking in MR. Also the boots are a bad idea, CC reduction boots are so much stronger. Summarising; Get Banshee"

However if you still want to lane as Akali try throwing a shroud over the enemies caster minions, if the enemy gets close to last-hit then throw a mark and pop it. They'll take more damage then you will."
