Okay so this is my first blog. I'll be blogging about LoL problems and basically what grabs my attention :)
So personally I have been having troubles deciding whether to by Boots + Pots or Dorans Ring for any ap. I reckon that if I did choose boots + Pots I'd run out of mana ever so quickly but if I baught Dorans ring I would be feeling worried about my hp.. I mean would this effect me late game?

Second, TF is a very unique mid laner. He's one of the only APs that can infinitely sustain his own mana, rather like pre-nerf soraka could. I probably wouldn't even run any mana regen on him. Just last-hit with blue card and that should keep you topped off until you get blue buff.
I like playing TF a bit more aggressive, throwing my Wild Cards a lot more often than other TFs do because the more you throw your Wild Cards the faster the enemy champion will have to go back. I do not use my blue card that often because of that and I can afford that thanks to my flat MP5 runes.
I would also use flat MP5s on
Soraka was my bad. I just wanted to show that flat MP5s cannot only be used in mid lane.
Okay for one, this is for mid lane. That means your solo. No soraka.

I always take flat ones because they help me using
For early game mana issues I would not recommend
The scaling seals catch up to the flat values so quickly that I pretty much always pick scaling. You should barely even be using your mana levels 1-3 anyway. Most APs don't run into sustain issues until around level 5, and by that time your seals will have almost caught up to their flat cousins.
Flat mp5 might be more helpful if you have trouble managing mana, but overall scaling mp5 has more potential for the entirety of the game.
Also slightly depends on the champion.
