Bored in a long car ride, needed something to do. Made this. These are just my general opinions on tiers as seen by me.
This tier list is my rating on top lane champions AS SEEN BY ME! Everyone sees lanes and such different so everyone will have their own different tier lists. This is just mine. Their is no specific order within the tiers on the champions, it is just a general categorization.
* means they are on borderline to going down and I'm on the edge with them.
^ Means I'm on the edge and could easily cave in on moving them up a tier.
Some strong common picks. They can usually do pretty well no matter who they fight. They typically can do well at all points in the game.
Tier 1: Nidalee, Riven, Irelia, Nautilus, Kennen, Udyr, Yorick, Malphite, Jax, Lee Sin, Kayle, Olaf, Rumble
Some picks that can be picked early on, but should not be first picks. They are typically centeralized around 1 point of time in the game.
Tier 2: Shen, Jayce^, Lulu*, Poppy, Draven*, Fiora, Graves, Jarvan IV,Pantheon, Renekton, Singed, Corki, Urgot*, Vayne, Vladimir, Xin Zhao^, Warwick, Wukong, Cho'Gath^
These are more of "counterpicks". If you try and pick these before your enemy does you will get countered easily, but if you pick these after your enemy picks you can have some success.
Tier 3: Nunu*, Trundle, Darius^, Gangplank, Shyvana, Garen*, ,Nasus*, Tryndamere, Janna, Maokai, Sion, Sivir, Ezreal, Taric, Teemo, Viktor*, Volibear, Blitzcrank*,Diana,Akali^
These are more of last resort comp specific picks. They can be picked if you are trying to work with your team towards a specific strategy. Their matchups are bad for the most part.
Tier 4:Dr.Mundo, Nocturne, Hecarim^, Leona, Master Yi, Talon, Skarner

nidalee #1 overall seems wierd, imo rivben kennen and jax are way better

Why
Diana is like Akali with her burst, she can WRECK a squishy lane BUT when it comes to tanker champions with some sustain she won't do to well. She auto pushes the lane with her skills (AoE on all but R). Also I feel she, like other assassins, needs to go around killing others through the early-mid game. Top lane is a more isolated farm lane, which does not really go with her play style. Also she has an "All in" Style with no escapes. In a lane as prone to ganks as top you can't be an AoE champion with no escapes. She is easy prey for ganks.
Nautilus is tier 1 because he is a GODLY champion. His kit works for jungling yes, but it also does just as well top. He has no real "Direct Counters". He can fight on his own if needed, He has a strong trade, and he receives ganks AMAZINGLY well. His passive makes last hitting and poking very easy (Like J4 passive) and he can use his shield if he wants to push or trade. As for escaping ganks he has his Q to walls as a getaway mechanic and if need be he can simply ult the enemy jungler.
