If he is going to fight you, he will break the push and you can freeze again. If he won't fight you in your minion wave, try to push it until his tow"

Grasp could be viable since it's VERY beginner friendly (it's just there, you don't have to use it), as soon as you played 50-100 games you should swap to spellbook. The higher you climb the worse grasp is going to get, as you will get decimated"
