"In Season 3 they nerfed the price of rod of ages including catalyst the protector. After doing a couple of experiments, you can get a rod of ages as quick as 11 minutes in (if favored), otherwise it can be delayed up to 17 minutes in. Because in all honestly, I'm sure all 3 of us are exc"

"It really depends. Whoever gets their silence off first wins. Either the talons you've been playing against have no skill whatsoever or in some cases, direct runes/masteries to counter him. I mainly use him to counter-pick, so nowadays I never have to fight one with him."

RuminatingWin: And that's why taking teleport is sometimes good. Though normally it might just be better to run a few increased health potions along with biscuiteer and that should normally be enough sustain for almost all situations."

"It's like starting 13 health potions, you really aren't getting anything out of it. You need to go B in order to refill the 3 charges, you might as well take teleport since it's a relatively good summoner spell. You shouldn't even be playing kassadin against talon but if you are then"
