"kassadin is an anti-mage, it's no doubt you'd be at a disadvantage. Either don't play xerath against him or take cleanse to remove the silence. You can out-burst him, and zone him out in the early laning phase. Grab early sorcerer's shoes with a few if not multiple doran's rings "
