Posted a Comment: "I, too, am logging in to an old Mobi account to downvote this. Masteries are not solid. Thunderlords is very difficult to proc on Malzahar. You are better off choosing Stormraider's Surge since it helps him ult then get away. Or go with other trees--cunning is a good tree for him but Ferocity is"

You have omitted the single most brutal counter to Kog--Rammus. Taunt and it's really over. Outside of a flash over something, you are d-e-a-d. That's from level 4"

I would encourage you to look at after taking Cinderhulk (Trailblazer is best, he has no sustain) and Boots of Swiftn"
