Although I'd say -most- of the bi channeled skills want to keep channeling.
Nunu ult for example is as much for the slow as it is for the end damage.
Although with the existence of such an item, we could possibly see the return of AP Nunu, and those atom bomb ults :P"

Another is finding other ways to nerf damage like dodge, nerfing Attack speed, etc.
