"The buffs to fervor are very good with Lucians double up passive, hence making him quite strong. Also lethality does Lucian well as he can go back to his youmoos + blackcleaver build that he did last season which is an overall damage buff. "

If your worry is picking him into a bad matchup, consider A) Asking someone else to pick him for you, or B) Only picking him if you know the matchup your playing.
