"Rumble beats a lot of toplaners, has great duo queue synergy with AoE champs such as tanky junglers (amumu being it's favorite), Sona, etc.
Darius and Jayce for the reasons stated previously, although both have a great "falling off" risk.

I think people will disagree with Darcurse about AP + AS hybrid being the best build vs AD. What I can say is that AD has really high damage imput versus low survivability, while hybrid (as I build) has more survivability but "
