Hey guys,
I just played top again and got a as my lane opponent...
I could not really farm because I was zoned by his all the time. Even when I activated my shield he dealt like 200 flat damage to me.

Now my question: Does Malphite somehow counter ? My laning phase was really screwed because of that and I could not really be helpful...

Is there any way to lane effectively against as ?

If you push, you have to ward. You might want to hold off one pushing until you go back to base once. The only time you can push blindly is if the enemy jungler shows bot or something, which buys you some risk-free aggression time.

The problem is, that as soon as I push the jungler comes to my lane and ganks me so hard... I can't even escape a gank because if I flash, Malphite will just use his ult and follow me, knocking me up and killing me.

Thanks for the help everyone, I think I will try this if I should play against a Malphite again.

rumble should actually do fairly good.
everytime he comes at you E and Q him dun let him get his shield back up also he'll run out of mana rather quick at least early on. And you should usually be fine after you got your revolver I haven't played rumble for a while but against malph it's quite easy to either push or if he is dmging you he will push so you freeze the lane

Generally if you aren't strong enough to fight him, you push him to his tower so he can't abuse his lane advantage. As soon as you have an advantage (this might be quite early, you'll have to experiment), you should focus on harassing and zoning without pushing. Pushing 24/7 usually won't win you the lane, but it can buy you some time and get you a small CS advantage.

Just make sure you ward if you do.

His CD on Q is decently high, so once her throws it at you, you have about a 5 second period to fight him. Malphite has a mana resource, you do not. Abuse this fact at about lvl 4 if you continue to go in for trades with boots+4 pots he will run out of mana fast or he will fall behind. Do not give him free damage, do damage on him enough to keep his passive down. You need to bully him out, Doing this will push your lane so care for ganks. (Pushing the lane is also good in this case as he has to burn mana to cs under tower).

You should probably start with either boots + 3 pots or + 2 pots.

I'm not an experienced Rumble player, but I do know Malphite pretty well. If you want to control your lane, you have to keep him from refreshing . That means poking him constantly with and . I'd probably build mercs/sorcs, revolver and abyssal, since Malphite's damage comes primarily from his abilities and he can't afford to build much magic pen.

If he's dealing a lot of damage from his , you know he's maxing it. One way to try and punish him for this is to get in his face with your Q and force him away from his farm. He can poke hard, but he loses trade potential when he doesn't max . The other thing you can do is ward your river and push him to his tower. Unless he's a really good player, he's probably going to lose some farm and won't be able to harass you as much.

If he maxes Q and you play passively, you're not going to win the lane. Take some MR glyphs and AP quints and try to bully him early and often.
