"Basically what I get from these walls of text:
1) We should be wary not to change guide authors into "upvote whores" who just make every little change to get an upvote. Ex: first comment says to get Butcher instead of Fury. It's changed. Upvote given. Then the next comes along "

"I've tried it, it's awful against decent players. The burst is delayed because you need to stack up blight first in contrast to many other casters. second, varus has next to no escapes also no hard CC or ranged farming capabilities which is bad."

"Then you're playing against godawful players. About every decent ap caster should be able to crush Varus in lane. And if that doesn't happen, he has zero escapes and no instant burst nor does he have high dps. Ergo, there is no reason to do so other than: "it's fun" and to say "Look a"
